Description

The new system 80 CPU is a plug-and-play replacement for all Gottlieb System 80 games.  Supporting all platforms from the original system 80 (Spiderman) out to the last game on the 80B platform (Night Moves), it uses the original GTB firmware for each of the 57 titles.  This is a direct replacement for the original PCB in a slightly smaller form-factor when mounting to the nylon studs in the head.  All cable harnesses attach at the same position on the PCB, except for the top display connector (J2) that now folds over to the top of the board.

Ni-Wumpf is the first company in the pinball business to introduce replacement pinball CPU’s in 1995 – with the longest history in this market and thousands of units shipped worldwide, we have specialized in personalized service on Gottlieb games for over 31 years and continue to enhance the product line with newer components and technology.

Troubleshooting

  1. Game does not boot, and shows a few bright data segments on the displays, resetting the CPU, or cycling power overcomes this: this is normally a poor quality microSD card that should be replaced.  Try re-inserting the SD card to see if better contact helps.
  2. The displays do not show anything: check the H3 jumper – make sure it is set for the correct hardware for alphanumeric displays vs 6/7 digit displays.
